Diana Ortega

A native Detroiter, Diana Ortega is a vision leader with expertise in the
Engineering field, specifically vehicle launches in the automotive space.
She has been awarded National honors including the highest national
award, given by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE),
the Jaime Oaxaca Award. She was also recognized by the Hispanic
Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) as a Young Hispanic Corporate
Achiever. After making a career pivot in 2023, she started her own consulting
business as an entrepreneur with a focus on the implementation of sustainable
quality management systems and Continuous improvement. She holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. She has served with the National organization, SHPE, as Mentor on the SHPEtina track developing programming focused on Latina content and was recently named the Mentor committee lead for the Mana de Detroit Chapter. Mentoring young up and coming STEM leaders is her passion and looks forward to developing the next generation of talent.
